Quality & Documentation
Evidence belongs beside the material.
Good research depends on knowing what a material is and being able to associate it with its records. Northeast Research Supply structures its product information around that principle.
Documentation that may be available
- Certificate of Analysis (COA) — may describe product identity, lot number, analysis date, methodology, physical characteristics, and any supported analytical results.
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS) — identification, hazards, handling, storage, exposure controls, spill, disposal, and transport information.
- Lot / batch identification — ties a physical material to its production batch and documentation.
- Chemical identity & molecular information — recognized names, synonyms, and structural information.
- Storage & handling information — where provided with the material.
Documentation availability differs from product to product and is identified with the applicable product information.
Our language is deliberately measured
We never represent a material as independently tested, pharmaceutical grade, reagent grade, or of a particular percentage purity unless documentation supports that statement for that specific lot. If we cannot support a claim with records, we do not make it.
